Buddhism teaches the fact that all men are born and die is natural way of life. Salvation is not guaranteed for they still go by law or believe that they can make it to heaven because their own good deeds. There is not peace in their souls for they do not know if their sins will be forgiven. Some of them have repented but because their god can not forgive sins, they souls are always troubled.
