1)Second Chance Center
Moreover, in order to put the love of Christ into action, we will establish Second Chance Center to the help the poor, the abuses, the unfortunate as part of the pre-evangelism program. The center will provide them with scholarships, career training schools, employment placement services, shelter and urgent funds.
Led by Peter Thavornrat, the project is expected to start by June 2005
Budget: $8500 per month approximately for two missionaries and working expenses
2)TV program, “English for Life” is designed to teach English to young people by using morals and values taught by Jesus in the Bible. Strategies are as follow:
- As there are some restrictions in Thailand, we are not to preach the gospel on TV. However, we are allowed to broadcast English teaching program on TV
- We use the moral of values Jesus teaches us in the Bible as sample sentences in the program
- Movies stars will be invited to join in each episode
- Will contact national corporations in Thailand to sponsor the program
3) Planting the church
We also will plant our new church to nurture our new believers and to be a new place where the believers can worship the Lord freely in spirit and in truth. Steven Hawthorne wrote about a purpose beyond salvation. He said, “Worship fulfills God’s love. He loves people so vastly that He wills to exalt them to something better than greatness; He wants to bring into an honored nearness to Him.”
